The Whooshboards esk8 truck under development

New esk8 specific trucks are under development. I felt there was a place for a high quality esk8 truck that could take the stresses from esk8 usage, at the same time as not being too heavy or wide. Currently, here is the specs, but they might change slightly:

  • 176mm hanger width.
  • 195mm between built-in speed rings on the axles.
  • 17-4 PH stainless and durable removable axles.
  • Hanger material: 7075-T6 aluminium.
  • Flip-able 3 deg rake for more liveliness / more stable configuration.
  • 45 deg baseplates

Safety factor

According to my own stress-analysis and independent third party analysis, these will have a safety factor more than double that of regular Caliber II trucks normally found in DIY builds. This is a result of the geometry being different than Calibers. These are optimized for stiffness and light weight. Another reason for the higher safety factor is the usage of higher grade materials.
